Be prepared for a tiny bit of climbing. Please wear suitable footwear. \nParticipation is at your own risk. \nMeet at the car park at Balmeanach: At Gribun take the turn off for Balmeanach PA68 6EH. Park on the right after the farmhouse. \nDogs must be kept on a lead so that livestock is undisturbed. \nThere may be a slice of cake afterward! \nThe walk is timed for low tide as short stretches of the walk are tidal. \nLitter pickers are provided. \n

DESCRIPTION:Come for a walk with us along the beautiful coastal path from Lochbuie to Glen Byre. You will find spectacular views\, caves\, cliffs and more. The path is sometimes tricky so wear sturdy footwear. \nMeet at the Old Post Office\, Lochbuie. \nWalk as far as you like\, fill a bag with litter\, no matter how small\, and take it back with you. The landowner has kindly agreed to pick up bags from the track to Glen Byre\, so the bags do not have to be carried too far. \nFor the adventurous walk the whole way to Carsaig\, but remember to arrange transport at the other end.

SUMMARY:Mull Adopt-a-Beach does the Great British Beach Clean
DESCRIPTION:The UK’s biggest beach clean and survey\, the Great British Beach Clean (GBBC)\, is coming to Mull. Organised by the Marine Conservation Society (MCS) each September\, the survey collects important data on marine litter\, which provides evidence to help drive change. \nAnyone can take part in a GBBC event\, or even register a beach and organise one of their own. MCS Beachwatch surveys can also be done at other times of the year\, so do consider doing a survey for your local beach. \nBeach cleaning at Knock Hatchery\nMull Adopt-a-Beach is taking part in the GBBC at Knock Hatchery\, Gruline\, at the head of Loch na Keal on Saturday 17th September\, 10 a.m. Coffee and cake will be provided. Please follow the track to the Hatchery\, and park at the buildings half way down the track\, and walk the rest of the way to the Hatchery. Please wear sturdy footwear and protective gloves. \nPlease keep up to date on the Mull Adopt-a-Beach Facebook page in case the event is called off for bad weather. \nThank you to Benmore estate and Knock Hatchery for their support.
